It works most of the time. Evry now and then it doesnt detect it but besides that its an awesome app.I give it 

So cool! My friend was totally amazed! Sometimes it doesnt work,but other than that,:•)

Its ok it doesnt work with a case on the phone.

Tested the app with no success. Followed information available to verify operation and still does not work. Tested on two iphones, the app does not detect metal in my opinion.

Does not do anything. Tried different metals ...nothing. Dont waste your time.

The nerve of some of these people thinking that so many people would be stupid enough to think your i-Device can detect metal. Its insulting! Fine some devs create an app such as this but they post that its just for fun. I took a metal spoon and put it near the lens of my iPad and it beeped and said metal is detected and I took the spoon away and used other metal and nonmetal things and it works please download this app!

It works sometimes. I believe you should try it but it doesnt work all the time. I put a metal spoon in front of it and it worked, but when I did it again nothing happened. This app is ok.

I just downloaded this app 10 minutes ago.. and it found exactly what I was looking for. My neighbor and I were looking for our property line stake (which I knew is rebar). I found it right away under the sod when the reading jumped from 50.something to well over a thousand! I tested it on my zippo, my chinese juniper tree metal stake, and beer can, too. Worked as expected. The more ferrous the metal, the higher the reading. Hence, some of the other comments on spoons working sometimes. Example: A silver spoon will have a lower magnetism than will a stainless steel spoon does.

It beeps every two seconds. Dont waste your time on this stupid app!

it uses the phones magnet so it only detects ferrous metals but not gold, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, etc.

I love it. It works perfect. I tryed it on a metal car and it worked

This app is cool I works for me and now when people come in my house now they have to do my inspection

To all the skeptics, this does work. However not for real world application, as you have to place it pretty close to the metal to even get a change in numbers. Default is about 43. Fun to play with. Want real fun, get a real metal detector.
